Your Online Reputation

Do You Have A Positive Reputation Online?

Have you ever thought about how the online world see's your online reputation. Often you discover when something is not right when your sales go down or comments reach you via social properties, but then the damage is already done.
The effects of a damaged reputation won't go away if you just bury your head in the sand as comments and reviews are still online and potentially will be there forever.

Why do these problems arise? There can be many reasons some justified and others not. If the review is an honest appraisal of your product you need to look deep inside your business model and fix the problems as if you continue to operate you will surly be getting more.
You should consider a negative attack on your online sites, an unjustified review or viral like spread of reviews etc from people who just jump on the bandwagon and don't really know anything about your business. If these comments are on page one of the search engine you will receive maximum uptake and your sales or inquiries will be affected.

Either way you need to nip the problem in the bud. You can take a formal review procedure with the online property owners, which can be a long time coming all the while your situation may be worsening. Or, you can take steps to get these reviews and views moved out of the the every day view from potential customers looking for a product or service like yours. Often you may use both options. Remember 92% of search engine users on Google never leave the first page for their chosen key phrase. Using SEO type promotion will take up positions on page 1 where the negative comments will be pushed off page one. Get your valued customers to rally to your business and ask them to give you an honest review, which will slowly cancel out the negative one.
There is the option to engage a service that provides such a service and take their advice and start building up your online trust.
